His Majesty King Jigme Khesar Namgyel Wangchuck and Her Majesty the Queen of Bhutan, together with Professor Wuthisan Tanchai, Vice President of the Thammasat University Council, Dean of the Puey Ungphakorn School of Development Studies, and a delegation from Thammasat University.
Thammasat University has bestowed an honorary degree in Creative Development upon His Majesty King Jigme Khesar Namgyel Wangchuck.
“We are deeply honored to receive His Majesty's permission to bestow an honorary Doctor of Philosophy degree in Creative Development from Thammasat University, a renowned and respected educational institution established during the early stages of Thailand's transition to democracy. As we have witnessed, His Majesty has performed numerous royal duties in various fields, making it most fitting to respectfully confer this honorary Doctor of Philosophy degree in Creative Development upon His Majesty Jigme Khesar Namgyel Wangchuck, the fifth monarch of the Kingdom of Bhutan.”
